The liner is Dale Baby Ull on #3 needles. I think this was 80 st around.

The outside of the hat is Bernat Boa in Parrot

I started with #3 needles which was much too small. At the point where the ridge is visible, I switched to #6 needles.

The top is simple *K10, k2tog*, k next round plain, *k9, k2tog*, k next round plain, repeat until ~9 st left then bind off.

The hat is intended for a baby but the baby wasn't available. I used a stuffed toy for a model.
