I made a trivit.
This is Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride in black and white. I used size 9 circular needles.
I cast on 3 stitches, turned, k3 back to the beginning. Then I knit 3, CO3 for 6 st on the needle, turned & knit back. Then I k6, co3 for a total of 9 stitches on the needle. Turn & k back to start. Then switch colors, k3, turn, k3, turn, k6, turn, k6 etc. The wide edge of the wedges is the outside. I carried the unused color loosely around the edge until it was time to start a wedge of the other color.
At the end, I sewed the wedges together and threw this in the washing machine with a regular load of laundry. The loose edges around the end felted together. The whole trivit felted but didn't shrink all that much (see tape measure for an indication of how little changed.
